“I enjoy working with my hands. As a kid, I would spend hours working with and customizing model kits. As a teenager, I built my own stereo receiver. I enjoyed science and wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. Dentistry seemed to be a good fit for blending my enjoyment of science and working with my hands.

“You need good problem-solving skills in dentistry. I find it very satisfying to help my patients achieve good oral health, even if they have had problems in the past. What I enjoy most, though, is meeting and developing relationships with the people who see me for care.

“I’m a hometown kid! I was raised in Moline, where my father was a teacher at the high school. I graduated from Moline High School in 1968 and then pursued my education in dentistry. I subsequently joined the Navy as a dental officer, after which it only seemed natural that I return to Moline and open my own office in 1980.

“By learning about and from the many people I meet, I create a bond that allows for better discussion about their dental concerns. This way, I can better serve and provide for their needs and wants.”

“I feel that healthcare is one of the most important fields to be in and that dentistry was the right career for me because it allows me to make use of my abilities. I find it very rewarding.

“I enjoy interacting with my patients. It is amazing how many wonderful people my job allows me to meet; it is a great feeling to be a small part of so many lives.

“Because dentistry relies on technology more and more these days, it is important that I embrace change and make use of each breakthrough as it arrives. I believe my patients expect me to be familiar with the newest advancements available, and I am happy to comply.

“I was born and raised in the Quad Cities and attended United Township High School in East Moline. Most of my family is still in the area. The Quad Cities community is very important to me, and it is a pleasure to be able to give back to the community through dentistry.

“I focus on speaking to my patients as equals and strive to be attentive to their needs and concerns while conveying what I feel is important to their dental health. I hope to give my patients the quality dental care they expect and deserve, and I treat them as I would my family. I hope to have each patient leave our office feeling that they have received the best dental care available.”
